Goat Puffs
Goat Puffs
Our Goat Puffs are 100% Australian Goat hearts with no additives, no preservatives and no added sugar. These make a great quick snack dog treat as they are light, low in fat and a nice crunchy treat. Perfect for a quick chew with an added nutrient burst or stuff in Kongs and Toppls for longer lasting fun.
We use these as a high value, crunchy snack when popping Winnie into her crate or pen. Goat Heart is high in protein to help build muscle for those active little bodies like Winnie's.
Goat Heart has many health benefits for dogs:
- My favourite benefit for Winnie is that it contains concentrated amounts of the nutrient CoQ10! CoQ10 is an antioxidant that your body produces naturally. Your dogs cells use CoQ10 for growth and maintenance. Levels of CoQ10 in your dogs body decrease as they age.
- Heart contains taurine, an essential amino acid.
The heart is a powerhouse, responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. That requires high levels of folate, zinc, and iron, as well as a range of vitamins, including vitamins A,D, E, K and B vitamins.
- It is a high protein, low fat option. The protein helps to build lean muscle, repair tissue, and produce enzymes and hormones. Being low fat, Winnie can get all her health benefits in one puffy punch minus the nasties.
- Goat is fantastic for dogs with allergies to beef and chicken! Goat is usually a single protein diet used in hypo allergenic diets. So guess what, you can still give your sensitive pal a tasty snack!
Dehydrated goat heart is hard and can’t be easily broken up into smaller pieces. Therefore give as a (bite-sized) treat whole. If you prefer to break up your treats check out our beef and lamb crumbles.
